Ius Omnibus launches popular action against Mastercard to compensate consumers

Sousa Ferro & Associados is honoured to represent the consumer association Ius Omnibus in the launch of a popular action for the defence of all consumers who resided in Portugal in the last two decades, who were injured by anticompetitive practices by Mastercard, namely practices identified by the European Commission.

This is the first opt-out damages claim for antitrust infringements filed on behalf of consumers at the Portuguese Competition Court, under the new private enforcement Act.
